What is 24-7 Prayer?
24-7 Prayer is a simple and flexible way of praying 24 hours a day, 7 days a week that ignitescongregations into bold and faith-filled communities of prayer. Individuals and groups committo praying for an hour or more for the needs of the church and the community. While prayerisn’t magic, history and statistics show over time that the more God’s people pray, the morethings happen.
When will 24-7 Prayer happen?
Hope will kick off 24-7 beggining on February 17 through April 4, but if people want to continue 24-7 Prayerbeyond that date, we’ll definitely provide a way for that to happen!
Who is invited to be a part of 24-7 Prayer?
Everyone—individuals, families, small groups, anyone—is invited to sign up on Hope’s Website for a time to pray. In addition, several of Hope’s ministry areas will be signing up for a weekof 24-7 Prayer.
How does 24-7 Prayer work?
24-7 Prayer is simple. A person or group signs up on the Web site for an hour or more to pray.During that time, they gather together in the 24-7 Prayer Room and pray in the manner mostcomfortable to them. Some might sing, some might pray through the Scriptures, some mightmeditate in silence, some might draw, and some might pray through journaling. It all dependson what works for them. To help people pray there will be a notebook with all kinds of prayerassignments and creative suggestions on ways to pray. We’ll also have a CD player available forany appropriate music you may want to bring.
