There are three important components of Hope’s “Extreme Makeover” series during the season of Lent
(Feb. 17 through Easter, April 4):

"WORSHIP"

Weekend worship during Lent will focus on the spiritual disciplines God uses to draw us closer to him in faith.

• Ash Wednesday – Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7:00 pm
• Maundy Thursday – April 1 at 7:00 pm
• Good Friday – April 2 at   7:00 pm

(All above services held at NorthBranch Station - 1924 SW 3rd St, Ankeny)

• Easter Services – April 4 (times TBD)
• Nursery will be available

 

"CONNECT"

1. Sign up for a new small group– 

Groups will be decided by how you register, pick the type of group you want to be in.  New small groups will meet Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00 pm, Feb. 24 – March 31 at NorthBranch Station. You can register more than one person per sign in to ensure you are together.

    Choices will include:
         A. Live Teaching and New Small Groups
             For anyone (men, women, couples, singles, etc.).  These groups can turn into long lasting groups.

Watch a teaching from a Hope pastor and then discuss the topic in your groups.
                       Wednesday starting Feb. 24 6:30-8:00 pm.  This is for new groups.

2.  Sign up your existing small group. 

Please sign up your existing small group to participate in the Lenten series.  Groups will meet at your normal meeting times and locations the weeks of Feb. 24 - March 31.  One person can register your whole group.

          A.  Small group leaders will pick up a weekly DVD for their small group study at NorthBranch Station or the Welcome table on Sundays. 

          B.  Watch a teaching from a Hope pastor and then discuss the topic in your groups.

 

3. Sign up to host a new small group on Wednesday Nights.
As a host, you will hand over leadership of the group at the end of the Lenten study. You may be a host if you have taken Alpha or been in a Hope small group. If you are a small group leader and have not attended the host small group training or want a refresher, please sign up for one of the host training opportunities.

  The materials presented in the DVDs and study guides will echo and expand upon the weekend messages; you are encouraged to attend weekend worship each week prior to your small group time. This will help you and your group to make the most of your time together.

"REACHOUT"

New and existing small groups will be given an “Extreme Makeover Outreach List” to help you put your faith into action by choosing one or two projects to participate in. Watch for more details, Betty Fleming, will be sending out updates weekly to the leaders of the small groups.
